LaxRecruit Terms of Use
Version 2026-09-26
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of LaxRecruit, including laxrecruit.co and the LaxRecruit web application (the "Service").
The Service is operated by LaxRecruit LLC ("LaxRecruit," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, using the Service, or accepting these Terms, you agree to these Terms.
If you are accepting these Terms for an organization, school, club, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to do so.
1. What LaxRecruit Provides
LaxRecruit provides software supporting college recruiting and team management.
Features may include athlete profiles, recruiting organization, college-fit tools, recruiting-readiness tools, timelines, communications, team management, film, tryouts, scheduling, artificial-intelligence tools, and related services.
LaxRecruit is a technology platform.
LaxRecruit is not a college, university, athletic department, scholarship provider, admissions office, recruiting agency, employment agency, or professional athletic evaluator.
2. No Recruiting Guarantee
Using LaxRecruit does not guarantee:
- recruitment by any college;
- communication from a college coach;
- placement on a college team;
- an athletic scholarship;
- admission to a college;
- any particular competitive level;
- playing time;
- roster placement; or
- any specific recruiting outcome.
Recruiting decisions are made independently by athletes, families, coaches, colleges, admissions offices, and athletic programs.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use LaxRecruit as an athlete.
Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Certain features available to minors may require separate parent or guardian approval.
If you are a parent or guardian authorizing a minor's use of LaxRecruit, you agree to supervise the minor's use of the Service and accept these Terms as they relate to your child's account.
4. Accounts
Users must provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless the activity results from a security failure attributable to LaxRecruit.
You may not:
- impersonate another person;
- create unauthorized accounts;
- provide false identity information;
- access an account you are not authorized to use;
- attempt to circumvent role or organization permissions; or
- interfere with security controls.
5. Athlete Information
Athletes, parents, coaches, and organizations may enter academic, athletic, recruiting, and other information.
Users are responsible for information they submit.
LaxRecruit does not independently verify user-entered GPA, test scores, athletic measurements, awards, statistics, recruiting interest, scholarship information, or other user-entered claims unless expressly stated.
6. Public Recruiting Profiles
Athletes may have the ability to publish recruiting information for viewing by college coaches and others.
Users should understand that information intentionally made public may be copied, saved, indexed, forwarded, or otherwise used by people outside LaxRecruit.
Athletes and parents should not publish information they do not want publicly available.
LaxRecruit may restrict information that minors are permitted to display publicly.
Public-profile settings may be changed through the Service.
7. Coaches and Organizations
Coaches, teams, clubs, and organizations may use LaxRecruit to manage athletes and team activities.
A coach or administrator may only access athlete information when authorized through the Service or by the relevant organization.
Users may not use access to LaxRecruit to obtain information about athletes for unauthorized commercial, personal, recruiting, or other purposes.
8. College Coaches
College coaches may use LaxRecruit to review recruiting information made available for that purpose.
Nothing in LaxRecruit represents or guarantees that a person identifying as a college coach is acting on behalf of a particular institution unless LaxRecruit expressly states that the person's identity has been verified.
College coaches remain responsible for complying with NCAA, conference, institutional, and other applicable recruiting rules.
9. Recruiting Communications
Athletes may use LaxRecruit to send or manage recruiting communications.
The athlete remains responsible for communications sent through their account.
LaxRecruit may provide coaching, analysis, reminders, formatting assistance, or feedback, but the athlete controls whether and what to send.
LaxRecruit's Email Coach is designed to improve communications created by the athlete. It is not intended to impersonate the athlete or conduct recruiting conversations on the athlete's behalf.
Recruiting messages sent through the Service may include technology that records delivery, opens, or link clicks.
Users may not use LaxRecruit to send unlawful, deceptive, harassing, threatening, or unsolicited bulk communications.
10. Artificial Intelligence
Some LaxRecruit features use artificial intelligence.
AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions, assumptions, or inaccurate conclusions.
AI features are intended to assist athletes and families with recruiting organization, preparation, communication, and development. AI output should be considered informational guidance, not a guarantee or professional determination.
LaxRecruit does not guarantee the accuracy of:
- college-fit results;
- recruiting-readiness information;
- development recommendations;
- mock-call feedback;
- recruiting timelines;
- communication feedback;
- film analysis; or
- other AI-generated or algorithmically generated information.
Film analysis provides directional feedback. It does not constitute a definitive evaluation of athletic ability and does not determine whether an athlete belongs at a particular collegiate division or competitive level.
Users should use independent judgment and consult appropriate coaches, educators, medical professionals, admissions personnel, or other qualified professionals when relevant.
11. Health and Performance Information
LaxRecruit is not a medical service.
Athletic-development information supplied through LaxRecruit is not medical diagnosis, medical treatment, nutritional treatment, physical therapy, or healthcare advice.
Users should consult appropriate qualified professionals before making health, injury, rehabilitation, nutrition, or physical-training decisions where professional advice is appropriate.
12. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit to LaxRecruit.
By submitting content, you grant LaxRecruit a nonexclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the features you choose to use.
This license does not authorize LaxRecruit to sell an athlete's personal recruiting content to advertisers or data brokers.
Users represent that they have the right to upload or share content they submit, including photographs, video, evaluations, documents, and contact information.
13. Acceptable Use
You may not use LaxRecruit to:
- violate law or another person's rights;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or harm a minor;
- scrape or systematically download athlete information;
- build or enrich an unrelated marketing database;
- send spam or unlawful solicitations;
- distribute malware;
- circumvent security measures;
- reverse engineer the Service except where law expressly permits it;
- falsely represent recruiting interest, credentials, identity, or affiliation;
- upload content you do not have permission to use; or
- interfere with the operation of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
14. Intellectual Property
LaxRecruit, its software, branding, interface, algorithms, scoring systems, documentation, and proprietary features are owned by LaxRecruit LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of LaxRecruit technology or intellectual property to users.
15. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe.
Subscription prices and billing periods are displayed before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically for the applicable monthly or annual billing period until canceled.
Users may cancel through the available subscription-management tools.
Cancellation stops future renewal and does not normally terminate access before the end of the period already paid for.
Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, payments are nonrefundable and LaxRecruit does not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
If LaxRecruit materially changes subscription pricing, users will receive notice before the new price applies to a renewal.
16. Availability and Changes
We may modify, add, remove, or discontinue features.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or operate without interruption.
We may perform maintenance and may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or protection of users.
17. Third-Party Services
LaxRecruit relies on third-party technology and services.
Use of certain features may therefore involve third-party systems, including payment processors, communications providers, hosting providers, AI providers, and authentication providers.
LaxRecruit is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.
18. Account Termination
Users may stop using LaxRecruit or delete accounts using available account controls.
LaxRecruit may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:
- a violation of these Terms;
- security risks;
- suspected fraud;
- unlawful activity;
- threats to another user;
- abuse of minors' information; or
- nonpayment of applicable fees.
19. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
LaxRecruit does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that recruiting information, AI output, third-party information, or user-supplied information will always be accurate or complete.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LaxRecruit LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LaxRecruit's aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount paid by the claimant to LaxRecruit during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred dollars.
These limitations do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.
21. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, adult users and organizations agree to indemnify and hold LaxRecruit harmless from third-party claims arising from content they unlawfully submit, their unauthorized use of the Service, or their material violation of these Terms.
This provision is not intended to impose contractual indemnification obligations on a minor.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any dispute that is not otherwise resolved and may lawfully be brought in court will be brought in an appropriate state or federal court located in South Carolina, unless applicable law requires another forum.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes.
Material changes may require users to review and accept updated Terms.
The effective date identifies the current version.
